SCOPE OF DATA
Micron Systems is a data processor on behalf of its clients who license our software products for the purpose of applicant tracking, CLE, CPD, and CPE compliance tracking, learning management, and performance appraisal management. Each of our clients is the data controller for the data they collect within the Applications and is the sole owner of that data. The data that can be collected by our clients within the Applications, including any personal information, is limited to only the scope and relevance that is described herein, and Micron Systems only processes this data for the purpose of our clients’ use of the Applications. Micron Systems’ legal basis for processing your data is based on consent that you have given the data controller to collect your data within our Applications. You have the right to access your personal data in our Applications by contacting the client of ours that collected your data. This client can inform you of how they use, disclose, and limit your personal data, as well as your choice to opt out of its collection, amend it for accuracy, or have it deleted.
Within this www.micronsystems.com marketing website, you have the ability to make an inquiry about our products and services by filling out a form. The data that is collected by Micron Systems within this form is only what you choose to input and is limited to only the necessary information we need in order to respond to your inquiry. Once you have made your inquiry, Micron Systems will use your information to keep you informed about our products and services, however, other than this, your data is used for no other purpose nor is it shared within any other party, and additionally, you have the ability to opt-out of further communication from us.
DATA PROTECTION AND HANDLING PRACTICES
Micron Systems does not share its clients' data or Application data with third parties or make any other disclosures of such data. Further, while Micron Systems does not currently transfer personal data, received pursuant to the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework, to third party agents, if personal information of EU individuals is ever transferred to third parties in the future, Micron Systems is potentially liable.
Micron Systems does not have any fields in its Applications for the purposes of collecting data about children or minors. Our Applications are only intended for processing data related to adults as described above in the Scope of Data section.
EU-U.S. PRIVACY SHIELD
In compliance with the Privacy Shield Principles, Micron Systems commits to resolve complaints about our collection or use of your personal information. European Union individuals with inquiries or complaints regarding our Privacy Shield policy should first contact Micron Systems at: email@example.com.
Micron Systems is further committed to referring unresolved Privacy Shield complaints to the Independent Recourse Mechanism of the International Centre for Dispute Resolution - American Arbitration Association (ICDR-AAA), as an alternative dispute resolution provider located in the United States. If you do not receive timely acknowledgement of your complaint from us, or if we have not resolved your complaint, please contact or visit http://go.adr.org/privacyshield.html for more information or to file a complaint. The services of the ICDR-AAA Independent Recourse Mechanism are provided at no cost to you.
Micron Systems is subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), as well as the possibility, under certain conditions, for an individual to invoke binding arbitration. We are further obligated to disclose personal information in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. Micron Systems is required to make public any relevant Privacy Shield-related sections of any compliance or assessment report submitted to the FTC if we become subject to an FTC or court order based on non-compliance. We additionally must respond promptly to inquiries and requests by the Department of Commerce for information relating to the Privacy Shield Framework.
